Barbara Kleckner arrived in Sonoma County a couple of years ago and jumped into Habitat for Humanity of Sonoma County with both feet. She joined the Mad Women , a group of women who raise funds for Habitat and she energetically helped plan the Mad Hatter Tea Party , held every May to raise money for the Women Build Program.

She then helped plan and staff the Habitat Golf Tournament in June 2007. And when the Women Build house began construction this past winter in Sebastopol, she joined the Thursday Women Crew and wields a hammer to build a Habitat house.

In between, she is working on the Welcome Home Quilt Project , a project of the Family Services Program within our affiliate to raise money and provide handmade quilts to all of the children of Habitat homeowner partners when they move in to their new homes.

Barbara also is active on the Healdsburg Steering Committee, which raises funds and plans for building two houses in Healdsburg to begin later in 2008. She is one busy woman.

Barbara is cheerful, fun, creative, a great asset to our affiliate, and we love her!
