Your contributions are welcome..and needed.  Each donation helps Habitat provide decent and safe housing to our county's low income working families as well as redirecting use able materials and supplies from the landfill. ReStore is looking for a new, much larger home. Because of our current size we are having to be extra picky with what donations we can currently accept. We hope to remedy this situation in the near future, please be patient with us!

If you own or know of anyone who owns a 10,000+ square foot warehouse in Santa Rosa or the surrounding area and might be interested in renting it cheaply to us please give us a call.

ReStore does limited pick-ups on Thursdays only. To help cover our costs of renting a vehicle and saving you money in dump fees we ask for a donation of $5 for pickup services within the city of Santa Rosa, $10 for Rohnert Park, Cotati, Sebastopol, Windsor, Oakmont, & $15 for Healdsburg, & Petaluma, Anywhere else in Sonoma County is $1 per mile one way. We do pick-up in Marin County occasionally if it can be scheduled with other pick-ups, and only on Thursdays!

Appliances

We accept free-standing electric and gas appliances, 9 years old or newer, clean and in 100% working order with no missing parts. This includes Refrigerators, Stoves, Cook Tops, Dishwashers, Washers and Dryers. Built in appliances must be 5 years old or newer. No small appliances, this includes but is not limited to: toasters, toaster ovens, blenders, and/or coffee makers. We will accept microwaves, that are also exhaust hoods in good clean condition and less then 5 years old. We accept new and used kitchen vent hoods in good clean condition. There need to be no traces of dripping grease on used vent hoods.

Cabinets

We currently don't have room to accept kitchen cabinets. We accept Bathroom vanities if they include a vanity top. Both must be in excellent condition with no blemishes in any way shape or form.

Doors

We accept doors if they are in good condition, and solid wood. NO hollow core doors! We accept any color new door handles in their original packaging. We accept used door handles in any color except gold or brass or any of their variations. All keyed locks need to include the key. Used handles need to be in good condition showing little to no wear.

Electrical

We are currently only accepting copper wire, and fuses/breakers. Fuses and breakers need to be in excellent condition with no cracks or chips in the casing and an audible click must be hears when it is switched. NO switches, boxes, outlets, or outlet/switch plates.

Fans

We accept ceiling fans that are in new or like new condition. No gold or brass or any variation of gold or brass will be accepted.

Flooring material

We will accept new and gently used carpeting. Gently used carpeting has been laid to close escrow, or sell the house and hasn't been lived on. Carpet must be in 10'X10' minimum pieces. We will accept vinyl, and linoleum in 50 square feet minimums. We accept laminate, hard wood and tile flooring, with 100 square feet being the minimum quantity accepted. We are currently not accepting thin-set, or grout.

Hardware

We currently are only accepting NEW hardware, from screws and nails to hinges and drawer pulls. Drawer pulls and handles need to be in minimums of 10.

Lighting

We accept most light fixtures which do NOT have a brass or gold finish, in working condition, clean with every part this includes any trims pieces, and mounting parts. All lights must be the grounded 3-wire type. No ballasts with pcb's please, and no fluorescent tube lighting. We currently can't accept can lights.

Lumber • Plywood • Sheetrock • Trim

We don't accept lumber or sheet products do to our size constraints.

Mirror • Glass

We are currently not accepting mirrors.

Miscellaneous recyclable items

We accept any clean copper, aluminum, or brass scrap metal. We also accept chushed aluminum cans to recycle. We accept printer and toner cartridges, cell phones and pagers for recycling. We also accept donations of vehicles, running or not. This includes but is not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, buses, RV's, and boats. Vehicle donations are not handled at the store, please call (707) 568-3228 to set up a vehicle donation!

Paint • Wallcoverings

We accept un-opened white or off white containers of paint. We only accept 1 and 5 gallon containers, nothing smaller. All paint must have a small splotch of the color on the outside of the container. We cannot take toxic, or hazardous substances, (i.e. pesticides, powders, paint thinners, or other chemicals). No oil based paints, and no stains of any kind!

Pipe • Pvc • Metal • Copper • Ducting

We can only accept Copper, Abs and Pex pipe and fittings at this time. Abs and Pex pipe and fittings must be NEW We accept USED Copper pipe and Fittings. No duct work of any kind will be accepted!

Plumbing • TUBS • SINKS • SHOWERS • TOILETS

We accept tubs, sinks and vanities(new and gently used). We accept commodes only if they are in working condition and are the low flush (1.6 gallon) type with all of their parts, and lid. Commodes must be stamped 1.6gpf or better on the tank or bowl, no exceptions! We are currently not accepting cast tubs, unless they are in excellent condition and you bring help to unload them! We do NOT accept 1 piece vanity tops unless they are in excellent condition and include a matching vanity, also in excellent condition. All wall mount sinks must include the mounting bracket. All stainless kitchen sinks must also must include the mounting brackets.

Roofing Material • Gutters • Canales

We currently can't accept roofing materials.

Tools

We accept all common hand and power tools in working condition. Power tools need to have all of their guards and safety equipment, and need to be in complete working order. NO specialty tools.

Window Coverings

We are currently accepting new or used aluminum blinds only. No other types will be accepted.

Windows • Screens

We accept DUAL PANE windows that are white and vinyl or wood clad if the glass is intact, and the seals are still good. Most windows will show use, even if they are newer. If they are casement type, we must have the hardware and cranks.
